Chinese New Year is only two weeks away and somehow, someway we have a CNY event to go to nearly every weekend until the end of February.  Our Families with Children From China group has an amazing group of families on the north side of Houston.  The group is so big that they have broken into smaller groups for smaller events.  Because we are friends with several families on that side of town, we have participated with them more this year.  Today the festivities were kicked off with a late …

Thanksgiving came and went in a blur and already Black Friday is flying by.  Why does the time seem seemed to be sucked through a vacuum when there is fun to be had, or big meals to be readied?  It’s hard to believe that the chapter of November is almost through and that we are moving onto the holiday of Christmas.

I am so sorry for not blogging for nearly two weeks. I am telling you that life is just kind of flashing before my eyes. Of course my other problem is, that by the time we get the ‘Little Texas Tornado’ in bed, we are just exhausted and crash in front of the TV. We did the ‘Trunk or Treat’ event at our church.  I think it’s way more fun than having to go door to door asking for candy.  The kids get to play games, jump on the jumpies, watch a movie, face painting, snacks, and more.  So, I thought this was a better alternative for us this year. Catherine seemed to enjoy herself.  We let her have some candy, but I think it ended up being too much and just had a tremendous sugar rush and then a big crash.  Not pretty …
