Studio Saturdays- Art Journaling 2

I’m still having a love/hate relationship with my cameras (all 3 of them).  All of them seem to have some sort of problem or another.  Even my big camera produces fuzzy, off-colored photos.  When I try to process them in PSE, it makes the photos worse.  The photos turn grainy and/or pixelated.  I am guessing that it’s user error but I do feel like my photos have gone hill dramatically in the last 6 months or so.  If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

Anyway, I was so unhappy with how my big camera was taking photos that I tried the point and shoot.  It usually take pretty good photos.  Well, as you can see, these are a bit muddled too.  So, I apologize.  These are some recent art journal pages.  I learned a tip from the experts…make lots of background pages and then go back to fill them in.  So a few of these are just pages with the base.

Here is a spread from my travel journal.  I have actually fixed up the one with the photo in it and the page with the red is a base page.  I will be adding more to it:

Journal page with a prompt from Journal Fodder Junkies Challenge:

Reassessing my new year resolutions:

Just a basic page:

A page on Chinese New Year 2011.

The beginning of a background.  This one was fun.  I took red acrylic paint and smashed it into the paper with wax paper.  It looks a little like a crime scene right now, so I am going to be adding more layers to the base.

Another base using a page from a vintage book, gesso, yellow acrylic paint, ink, and pastels.

And my favorite product lately: washi tape.  Love it!!

What have you created this week?
