Whew- We’re Back Comments Off
We just got back a few days ago from a 20 day road trip. Yes, I said 20 days. Some days it felt like 40 and other days it felt like 2 days. We hit up 14 states, drove over 2000 miles, visited 3 zoos, and spent time with countless friends and family members. The reason for our big trip was the annual Federation of Fire Chaplain’s Conference, which was held in Northern Kentucky. We decided to drive instead of fly because there were so many people that we wanted to visit with a long the way. It was such a blessing to see everyone and to see the mid-west in all of it’s autumn glory.
Now that we are back home, I am trying to catch up on 100,000 different things…well at least it feels like a 100,000. I hope to be posting some trip photos and get the blog caught up over the next few days. I posted a lot of our photos on Facebook if you haven’t seen them there yet. The photos in this post are from a winery in the Nashville, TN area. We all needed to get out and stretch our legs for a bit, so when we saw a billboard for this place, we decided to check it out. It was gorgeous! There was lots of room to run and play. And I just soaked in the beauty of the rolling hills and the beautiful fall leaves.
