Tennessee Memories Comments Off
One of my favorite memories from the trip was actually a very simple moment. When we left the winery, we decided to take the scenic route to a family dairy store. It boasted of selling many flavors of milk and so we were pretty excited about drinking something other than the soda, lemonade, water and processed milk that we had been downing during our road trip. Nothing seemed more heavenly at that moment than fresh, chocolate milk.
While we were driving, we could hear and see a storm rolling in over the tree topped hills. We would drive a bit, get out and snap a few photos, get back in the car and try to out-drive the rain to our next photo stop. When we finally made it to the dairy, we hadn’t been in the little shop for more than 5 minutes before we got trapped by a downpour. Instead of making a run for the car, we sat on the porch of a little veterinary next to the dairy store and drank our milk. This cute, friendly little cat decided it wanted a piece of the action, and probably some milk, so it cozied right up next to Catherine. Little did the cat know that Catherine is quite into sharing right now, especially chocolate milk. Regardless, the cat stuck around for awhile and we all had a great family bonding moment.
