December Daily
I am so sorry for not blogging for nearly two weeks. I am telling you that life is just kind of flashing before my eyes. Of course my other problem is, that by the time we get the ‘Little Texas Tornado’ in bed, we are just exhausted and crash in front of the TV. So, no blogging for me because I have been both lazy and exhausted. However, I am excited to share in with the other fans Ali Edward’s December Daily challenge again this year.
You can find the concept of the challenge on her website. She has a ton of great photos, pointers, tips, ideas, and inspiration! I fell in love with the idea last year and plan on doing it again this year. Here is a gallery of my December Daily Album for 2008. I am not sure why it has put the gallery in ascending order, but you will need to scroll to the bottom to see day 1 and then work your way up. The first picture you see in the gallery is December 25. The last picture you see is December 1:
This year I plan on doing a hybrid version using both paper scrapbooking and digital scrapping. I really got some great inspiration and ideas from Katie the Scrapbook Lady as far as doing this album digitally. The templates she suggests are great! I am still in search of a Christmas themed digital kit. Most of the ones that I have seen are a bit too digital looking. I would like a kit that has graphics that look true to life. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!
For the paper side, there are a ton of things to choose from. One of my local scrapbooking stores has a fabulous assortment of Christmas themed items. I shouldn’t have aproblem choosing papers and embellishments. I did end up getting the Merry Christmas Art Journal from Evalicious. I will be using the guts of the journal to add to my December Daily album. She has some cute stuff in that kits!
And then the one thing that I can’t decideis whether or not I want to enroll in the Shimelle’s online class, Journal Your Christmas. I have heard that it was good but I am afraid it will be too limiting in the journaling prompts. So, if anyone has any suggestions on this class please let me know!
I am pretty excited about doing this album again. It took me 6 months to complete last years (a really, really long time) but I LOVE looking through it and see all that we did and just how much Catherine has grown.
