The Adventure Began One Year Ago 4
It’s hard to believe that a year has gone by! One year ago, in the early, early morning hours of the 11th, we took off for Hong Kong and began a life long adventure in raising and loving Catherine. I still remember the trip like it was yesterday. The excitement, the stress, the anticipation, the fear of flying such a long distance, the relief of finally landing, and even more excitement. It still gives me goosebumps to think about it. It happened so fast that sometimes it feels like a dream. We had such a good time in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. I would go back in a heartbeat and I really hope to bring Catherine back for a heritage tour one days.
For those of you who are still waiting to go, the best piece of advice I got was to make sure I ‘took everything in.’ For me that meant pausing in my head for a bit and just looked around and soaked up all of the sights and smells. I had so many of those ‘pause’ moments and I really believe that is why I still have so many vivid memories and the trip wasn’t such a blur. Soak it all in!

Happy 1 Year! I can’t believe it’s been that long already.

Oh my Gosh! It is unreal that it has been a year since you went! What a great visual you will always have. I still remember our trip and it is almost 4 years ago.

Happy Anniversary to all of you! I have so loved following your story. Catherine has grown up so wonderful and continues to just bloom! I can’t wait to watch her continue to grow.

WOW! Catherine has taught you both so much within a year. She has changed your world in so many ways and will continue changing your world. But I know you would have it no other way. Thank you for letting us share in your joy called Catherine. Love Auntie L
