13 Years Together! 5
Wow! I know I have been married for a long time when our hair looks like that! Look at the bangs! Look at the mullet! 13 years and a lot of hair styles later, we are still going strong.
It’s hard to believe that all of these years have gone by so quickly. We have been incredibly blessed, even when we have been through some very difficult experiences. I wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone else.
Fun wedding fact: the bouquet I am holding…I made it! Out of silk flowers! I thought it looked awesome. I actually made all of the bouquets and boutonnieres. It stressed me out but I loved adding my own touch to the wedding. Of course it also saved me a ton of money.

I also made all of the bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding. I even made our invitations. And … that was back in the day before computers. I did it all on a word processor with memory and it took MONTHS! But … I wouldn’t have had it any other way. 21 years later, I’m still glad I was so hands on. It was a special day I have absolutely no desire to recreate.
This year my baby sister got married and I made beautiful invitations using my Cricut. They were quick, easy, professional and elegant … we’ve come a long way, baby!
