Conversations You Don’t Want to Hear in a Grocery Store 4
So I had to go to the grocery store to pick up some cookie making items, crazy I know, when I over heard the following conversation taking place as I stood in a very long line to check out:
Lady on cell phone: She has a pretty high fever
Pause
Well she's been vomiting green and yellow mucus all day
Pause
More pause
Well there is mucus in her poop too
No it's diarrhea, I'm sure!
Dear Lady on Cell Phone, I'm pretty sure that when I'm shopping for food and thinking about warm, delicious Christmas cookies, I don't want to hear a conversation about bodily functions, sick or healthy. If you must talk about bodily functions around food, please take it outside…far, far away from said food. I may be a medic and handle this kind of thing quite frequently, but you are seriously ruining the visions I had in my head of the food I am about to eat.

Yikes! But then, I feel too many talk on their cell phones like others can’t here them. Don’t get me started.

Yuck! And I hope her possibly contagious child wasn’t with her…double yuck!
