California Dreaming 16
I apologize for the lack of posts over the last week. To say that life has been a bit chaotic would be the understatement of the year. We did make it out to California to visit with my parents and to give Catherine a chance to meet the Chinese side of the family. I thought I would have plenty of time to blog but circumstances have proven otherwise. So, apologies for the lack of updates on how our trip is going.
For the most part we are having a great time. However, Catherine is having a hard time at night and therefore I don't sleep either. What makes it difficult is that I came to California after being on the East Coast for almost three days, then spent one night at home before heading off to Cali. My body clock is seriously out of whack and to have Catherine having sleep issues is causing me to only get about 3-6 hours of sleep a night. It's pretty miserable by morning and I have been a cranky mess the last two days. She has traveled with us several other times and we have not had issues like this before, so I am not sure what is going on. Maybe because John isn't on this trip with us? Who knows but I am preparing myself for another difficult night.
Here are a couple of photos from some of the things we have been doing. I won't be posting too many because I can't resize them and I don't want my blog to slow your computer down.

too bad my little girl is sick right now (we had a trip to San Francisco planned today, but had to cancel because of a fever – otherwise we’d try to meet up with you somewhere), and sorry for the cold, wet weather (i have nothing to do with it!!), but enjoy the rest of your trip!!!

We LOVE San Francisco – just last year, before Joanna Mei, we did a speed walk across the Golden Gate and back. Chinatown is the greatest and we have fond memories of an uncrowded evening at the Warf. Wonderful pics!

I’m sorry your sweetie isn’t sleeping, I hope it’s getting better. I always feel like I can handle anything with enough sleep, so I hear what you are saying.
Hang in there, glad the rest of the trip is going well and that your family is enjoying Catherine. Love the pics, and I too love the last one so much.
