My Chinese Semi-Relatives ²

Just like Catherine has her aunties & uncles, friends that are so close we consider them relatives, so my father has them too.  And that means by proxy, they are my semi-relatives as well.  Meet my uncle Willie and my aunt MiMi.  They were good friends with my grandfather and therefore became an aunt and uncle to my dad.  Their kids grew up with him.  And then when he adopted me, they became my great uncle & aunt.  I just love that!

They also happen to  live up on the other side of Houston, so when my parents came in for a visit, they decided to stop in and see them for an afternoon.  Of course we had to show Catherine off to them and give her a chance to meet some of her Chinese relatives, so we invited ourselves along.  Catherine loved them immediately and she also loved the fact that they had toys in their house.  Now she officially has a great-great uncle & auntie and they share the same heritage.  What a treasure!
